food awarenessKnowledge is a powerful commodity, and it be an effective force in your pursuit of weight loss.  The first step to losing weight is getting informed, and the easiest place to start is by becoming more aware of food.  We already know that we need to reduce our weight and exercise more.

Check out "FAT BURNING FURNACE" if you're suffering from excessive weight and you're looking for an effective program that's helped tens of thousands of people like you.  It's an invaluable resource for successful, long-term weight loss.

An easy way to get started is to simply notice things about the food you eat.  What foods are you attracted to?  Are you eating more processed foods?  What is it made of?  When do you generally eat?  Three square meals a day?  More?  Less?  Any snacking?  How about late night meals?  Do you see any patterns in your eating habits?

It's important to not get down on yourself and judge yourself here: good or bad, right or wrong.  You just want to become more conscious about your food intake as a first step in gaining control and being smart.

So if you're craving certain foods or seem naturally attracted to sweets or caffeine or salty foods, fried foods, pasta, dairy, whatever it is, simply take note of it.  Keep a food diary of things you notice and take notes about what you learn about food from researching online.  If you're a fan of certain foods, find out more about them.  What's in it?  What is it that you like about it: it's taste or that it fills you up.  Are there healthier alternatives available at the health food store?

The journal that you begin to compile will be your own personal record, a food diary, and as you progress further along on your weight-loss program, your food diary will serve you and inform you of how far you've come.  You'll be surprised how much you've learned and what a different person you fill the pages with your notes and experiences.  Sometimes there will be wins and sometimes setbacks.  Just keep going, and you'll be proud that you did.
